Intergers  is part of a series called Striving to Improve. This title focuses on Number and Algebra for students of lower ability and those who need further help in the consolidation of these crucial areas of Maths.

It is broken down into two main sections:

Understanding Integers – this section helps students to revisit concepts of factors, estimation, place value, multiples and directed number . These activities help to gradually build the confidence of lower-ability pupils and help them to attempt  more challenging maths problems suitable to their age/year group.

Calculating With Integers – guides students through four core calculations. Through focusing on process and understanding, activities are designed  to guide learning with very little input from you. Pupils will begin by exploring addition and subtraction before moving on to applying what they have learnt to real-life scenarios. They would then move on to different levels of division and multiplication before applying them to a range of applications.
